The Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) is interested in establishing the technical platform to test Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices intended for respiratory care following the approach prescribed in ISO18562-2 for particulate matter. A general approach and methodology for analysis of this class of respiratory care devices is outlined in ISO18562:2017 series of standards, including particulate matter. The Winchester Engineering and Analytical Center (WEAC) has proposed and is working on developing a testing setup and protocol to measure particulate emissions consistent with this standard.
