The Denver Laboratory is increasing involvement with the Food Emergency Response Network. This will require work in the BioSafety Level 2+ (BSL2+) laboratory and will require safety equipment that can handle the risks involved in working with hazardous organisms. This additional centrifuge would only be used in the BSL2+ laboratory and will help mitigate risks to Lab Acquired Infections for analysts performing the testing, as well as analysts not performing the testing.
