Are you able to provide drawings of the holding rooms? Measurement of the space which takes the bumper bar into account would also help for us to make the correct design. A photograph of the space would also help us to make the design the most useful to the end user. We are looking to see if we are able to fit an additional cage along the wall while still meeting all of the requirements in the bid. Response: We just need the specification in the solicitation met. We don’t require any additional cages. 2. Is the removeable floor a solid floor that can be completely removed or is it a fixed floor that can be opened and closed within the cage? Response: It is a fixed floor that can be opened within the cage. 3. Is the floor of the bottom cage permanent/non removeable? Response: Yes, it is welded permanent. 4. May we deliver the cages in lots of 20 and submit billing per delivery/acceptance? Response: Yes, but all 60 one over one racks (2 cages stacked one on top the other) must be delivered within the time specified in the solicitation (Delivery/installation/training shall be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of order). All shipping/delivery costs must be included in the quoted price. Amendment 1; Answers to Questions received. 1. Would you please confirm that the 120 days for manufacturing of the cages is from time of award not from approval of prototype? Response: It is from the time of award of the contract. 2. In the solicitation it states must work with existing Racks. Can you share what manufacturer made your existing racks? Response: The existing racks were made by Rockville Steel and Manufacturing Company. The primate racks doors and panels must line up with our existing racks for transfers and enclosure expansion, without risk of escape. The quote must demonstrate meeting this requirement to be acceptable. 3. Is there a formal time frame when questions are accepted and answered for this solicitation? Response: Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted no later 12:00 pm Central Time March 5, 2021 via e-mail to nick.sartain@fda.hhs.gov. Questions submitted to individuals or through mechanisms other than those defined in this solicitation or at any time after 12:00 pm Central Time March 5, 2021 may not receive a response.
