The Food and Drug Administration intends to make a sole source award for a System Maintenance Service Agreement for a Pacific Biosciences Sequel Instrument. The award will be made to: Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. 1305 O’Brien Dr Menlo Park, CA 94025 In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A full coverage service contract for a Pacific Biosciences Sequel System is needed to keep the performing at optimal conditions for the generation of high-quality sequence data capable of solving foodborne disease outbreaks. The Sequel System needs to be maintained in a manner that does not void the warranty provided by the manufacturing company (Pacific Biosciences). Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc is the sole source vendor for this requirement because they are the only vendor providing service agreements for the Sequel Instrument while maintaining the manufacturers warranty. Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc has no authorized dealers to service their instruments and there are no substitutes available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after 5 days or without the required information may not be considered.
