The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Government Scientific Source, Inc. for an Infinity XE 5030 Nitrogen Generator. This is a brand mane only procurement. The Peak Scientific Infinity XE 5030 Nitrogen Generator utilizes tested membrane technology to comfortably supply multiple LC-MS instruments with LC-MS grade nitrogen, at a maximum output pressure of 100psi (user adjustable), simultaneously. This generator has no compressor, therefore no moving parts or mechanical sound, and utilizes the in-house air supply available in our building. It is easy to service and requires minimal maintenance. This instrument has a compact design (500mm width x 500mm depth x 955mm height) and operates in an energy efficient eco-mode ensuring low running cost, which makes it perfect for our tight space, energy and noise constraints. Laboratory personnel are already familiar with installation, operation and maintenance of such instruments which reduces personnel training and results in more efficient laboratory operations. Additionally, the Peak Scientific Infinity XE 5030 Nitrogen Generator meets regulatory requirements such as ISO/IEC17025, FDA/ORA-LAB.5.5 or equivalent and it is compatible with Thermo Electron mass spectrometers. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within Six (6) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
