The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to AB Sciex LLC for SCIEX Workstations SCIEX OS-M and Q - Quant Proc Perp E-License. The new workstations with Microsoft Windows 10 Office and SCIEX OS software are needed to operate and control the Sciex instruments and analyze the data gathered from them. We currently have several Sciex instruments in our laboratory and these upgrades will allow our scientists to continue to improve their analytical throughput while maintaining and even improving accuracy and quality of data. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. An official solicitation will be posted at a future date. However, firms that believe they can meet the requirement are welcome to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information within six (6) days of issuance of this notice to be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
