The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) intends to award a brand name requirement, firm-fixed price purchase order PEAK Infinity XE 60 series nitrogen membrane gas generators ( models Infinity XE 6010 and Infinity XE 6020 models) that produces between 10 and 520 L/min of highpurity nitrogen gas and can supply multiple laboratory instruments with instrument grade nitrogen. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. An official solicitation will be posted at a future date. However, firms that believe they can meet the requirement are welcome to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information within five (5) days of issuance of this notice to be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
