This contract will require the contractor to build upon formative work conducted in 2021-2023 that aimed to answer the question, “How can collaboration among maternal mortality review committees, perinatal quality collaboratives, and community-based organizations be strengthened to address health inequities in maternal mortality and morbidity?” The minimum contractor requirements are: 1) expertise in the topic of birth equity, maternal mortality case review, surveillance of maternal mortality within US jurisdictions, and knowledge/experience with perinatal-quality collaboratives and clinical quality improvement approaches; 2) experience coordinating research from a birth equity framework; 3) expertise in plain language, and a variety of public health research dissemination concepts, practices and procedures; 4) demonstrated experience in selecting and applying culturally competent strategies in public health research dissemination in the United States; 5) ability to summarize, communicate, and disseminate findings to national and local audiences; 6) a demonstrated ability to use research findings to formulate strategies to address women’s health needs within a framework of birth equity.
