The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order to RavenTek, 13900 Lincoln Park Drive, Herndon, VA 20171, for the following requirements: 1) Dell PowerEdge R640 Server #1210-AKWU-N, quantity of 1; 2) Dell PowerEdge R540 Server #1210-ALZH-N, quantity of 2. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only Dell brand will satisfy the Agency’s requirement because this is the only brand that can provide a custom system build on the specific hardware requirements recommended by the software vendor Starfish. The servers will house the current installation of Starfish software. The configurations are enhanced versions that are compatible with the software, firmware and management tools that are already established. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
