NREL is required to deliver lab-wide compliance trainings on issues such as anti-harassment and discrimination, along with other diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility topics, HIPPA compliance and more. Due to having employees in all 50 states, the content we deliver needs to be current, updated regularly, and meet state-specific guidelines allowing us to be compliant with both federal and local regulations. In addition, the format needs to be compatible with our learning management system, Workday Learning, and meet state and federal digital accessibility requirements. Due to the increasing volume of NREL employees and how many work remotely, delivering such trainings in an online, self-paced format is most the most viable delivery method.
