SLAC CUIR SP1 Master Substation Annex Building Construction
This Sources Sought Notice seeks general contractors for the CUIR Subproject 1 Master Substation Annex Building at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, with work in the Master Substation Yard adjacent to Building B016. Planned scope includes constructing Building B017S, installing SLAC-furnished medium-voltage switchgear, relocating a generator, replacing a substation, installing busways, and reconnecting 12kV cables while keeping B016 operational and minimizing service interruptions. The estimated cost range is $12M to $17M, and SLAC plans a Best Value Trade Off selection for a design-build subcontractor. A draft RFP is provided for context, but this is not a solicitation, no award will be made from this notice, and SLAC intends to issue a formal solicitation later.
