SLAC seeks vendors that can provide 1 Each of Yb:YAG Amplifier stretcher/compressor upgrade with the following minimum specifications a) The parameters of the stretcher/compressor upgrade are specified below. • Pulse repetition rate frequency > 20kHz variable • Average optical output power 1.5kW max. • Pulse duration stretched ~ 1 ns • Pulse duration compressed ~ 600 fs • Pulse energy: best effort target pulse energy: 100mJ. The highest achievable pulse energy will be determined onsite during installation. 50mJ minimum warranted output pulse energy. • Spectral bandwidth with no ripples, no pedestals • Collimated free space output, M2 <1.5 • Polarization extinction ratio >30 dB, fixed in direction • Ellipticity >0.85 • Compressed pulses have no pedestals, no background, no satellite pulses • No thermally induced instabilities, such as spatial mode or timing fluctuations caused by optical component over heating in the compressor enclosure c) Components being damaged during the retrofit will be exchanged one time for free. d) The compressor upgrade must be integrated into the current compressor housing. e) On-site installation of laser compressor upgrade.
