CRMF SRF Cleanroom and UPW Construction Sources Sought Notification
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking qualified General Contractors for a planned fixed-price, turn-key construction subcontract to install a new cleanroom inside the existing Cryomodule Repair and Maintenance Facility (CRMF) building, with an option to add an adjacent ultra-pure water (UPW) system supporting LCLS-II and LCLS-II-HE cryomodule repairs. The work will be performed at SLAC, 2575 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, inside the CRMF building north of Linac Sector 11, near the North Access Road and Sector 10 Adit Road. This Sources Sought Notice is not a solicitation and no award will be made from it; SLAC intends to issue a formal solicitation later using a best-value tradeoff selection. The attached draft RFP package contains preliminary construction documents pending SLAC Building Inspection Office approval, and final documents will support preparation of a Firm Fixed Price proposal. Interested GCs with the skills, capability, workload capacity, and bonding ability are invited to submit written responses to the Sources Sought Notice.
