NREL is currently seeking proposals information regarding research, development, validation, and deployment of low-cost heliostats for CSP and CST applications. Projects supported by this Request for Proposal (RF) will focus on lowering the cost of heliostats and heliostat technologies, improving technical performance and reliability, and creating new market opportunities for the heliostat industry, with the goal of enabling widespread deployment of concentrating solar to decarbonize the electricity grid and energy systems.
