LCLS-II-HE Linac & Photon Infrastructure (LPI) - Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Construction The purpose will be to solicit subcontract support for the modification and reconfiguration to the SLAC LCLS-II-HE Klystron Gallery and Undulator Hall are required for the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The procurement will include labor and materials to complete MEP system modifications during the FY23 short downtime. The Statement of Work describes the construction requirements. SLAC is seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) subcontractor to award a construction subcontract to perform modification of the existing MEP systems and install new systems within the Sectors 7 – 10 areas of the Klystron Gallery (KG) and Linac Housing, Undulator Hall (UH), Building 921 (B921), and Building 913 (B913). Prior to modification construction efforts, the awarded subcontractor shall provide shop drawings and material submittal to SLAC for review, comment, and eventual approval by all Stakeholders and by SLAC’s Building Inspection Office (BIO). BIO will provide approval and release the design for Construction. Subcontractor must submit all Safety and Technical submittals to SLAC for review and approval. Within the requirements of the Subcontract, per the schedule as defined in this Statement of Work, SLAC will issue a formal Notice to Proceed (NTP), and the subcontractor can begin construction Care must be taken to minimize disruptions and impacts to the active science and lab users during construction. Potential bidders will need to meet the all necessary criteria outlined in Section L of the draft RFP. A partial list of the criteria required include the following: 1.) A minimum of 3 similar projects completed in the last 5 years of comparable size, scope, and schedule 2.) A local presence in the San Francisco Bay Area established a minimum of three years 3.) An appropriate California current and valid contractor’s license
