Ross Ore Hoist Material Conveyance Under the prospective Subcontract, the Subcontractor will design, fabricate, and deliver a material conveyance that will be installed in the Ross Shaft at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. The conveyance will be used to transport materials needed to build an underground neutrino detector. The requirements are more completely described in the LBNF Ross Ore Hoist Material Conveyance Design and Fabrication Statement of Work (Exhibit J-1). The Subcontractor will also be required to provide on-site support to installation and commissioning efforts and conveyance operation and maintenance training.
