Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) a National Laboratory and Federally Funded Research and Development Center RDC) operated by The Trustees of Princeton University, a US Department of Energy Prime Contractor wishes to solicit proposals in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) 20-041C to renovate two conference rooms located at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. The scope of work of the project includes renovation of two existing conference rooms, B318 and 021*, in the Lyman Spitzer Building (LSB). Scope of work includes new finishes; electrical, HVAC and fire protection modifications, and new audio-visual equipment. The work shall be conducted in two phases, one for each conference room, with the first phase complete and turned over for occupancy prior to commencement of the second phase. (*Option Item 1 – All work associated with Conference Room 021 located in the basement of the LSB.) The magnitude of this procurement is between $750,000 and $1,500,000 inclusive of option item. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required (see RFP for specific bond requirements). The period of performance is 120 calendar days after subcontract award. An additional 60 calendar days will be added if Option Item 1 is exercised. This procurement is unrestricted, full and open. A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit will be held at 9:30 AM EST, Tuesday, 25 February 2020. Attendance is pre-requisite for proposal submission. Proposals are due to PPPL by 4:00 PM EST, Wednesday, 18 March 2020. This announcement shall not commit PPPL to issue a subcontract for this effort, or to pay any costs incurred by offerors in the preparation and submittal of proposals in response to this RFP.
