From time to time, Argonne requires th... Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne) has approximately 5,000,000 ft2 of building space. This space is generally protected by Water Based Fire Sprinkler Systems. From time to time, Argonne requires the services of a sprinkler contractor to provide installation, repair, and other maintenance activities. The types of services to be performed will be ad hoc in nature and performed when considered necessary by Argonne fire protection management. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, material, and labor to provide on-call services necessary to perform minor modifications and maintenance / repair of fire sprinkler systems. Work will include, but not to be limited to modifications to existing systems; installing / repair of dry pipe/deluge packages; installing piping required for workable main drains; major valve repair/replacement work and replacing leaking sprinkler pipe. All sprinkler system work will be performed in accordance with NFPA 13 Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, NFPA 14 Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems, or NFPA 15 Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection.
