AMENDMENT 2 - POSTED 04/18/23 - See attachments AMENDMENT 1 - POSTED 04/04/23 - See attachments. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a national laboratory owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL is managed and operated for DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy (Alliance), the “M&O Contractor”. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) consists of 630 acres and buildings that range in age from new construction to 40+ years old. Many of the buildings throughout NREL campuses have fire rated walls which limit the impact of a fire, such as damage to a structural components and safety of the building occupants during a fire event. To ensure that the integrity of the building’s fire walls are not at risk, NREL must ensure that any compromised fire walls are identified to complete future repairs to ensure fire safety standards are met. See ALL attached documents for full RFP details.
