Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), a National Laboratory and Federally Funded Reseach and Development Center (FFRDC), operated by Princeton University under contract to the United States Department of Energy, is serving notice to inform all interested parties of the opportunity to collaborate with PPPL at its site in Plainsboro, NJ, for advancement of its on-site fusion research and development programs, notably involving spherical tokamaks or stellarators. For this opportunity, expressions of interest may only be submitted by for-profit domestic entities or the subsidiaries/affiliates of for-profit foreign entities that are incorporated in the United States, including U.S. territories. Any collaborative work will be performed at the PPPL site. Expressions of interest will be considered and potentially prioritized using the following criteria in no particular order: Receipt of an award under the 2023 DOE Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program; Track record of accomplishment by the core team in relevant areas; Novelty and/or relevance of proposed research, development, or demonstration activities to on-site, PPPL mission work related to spherical tokamak and stellarator concepts; and Potential for longer-term, strategic partnership. This is NOT a soliciation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. No solicitation exists at this time. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capcaity of qualified sources that can perform the required work.
