The objective is to acquire a Polygon Scanning System enabling roll-to-roll (R2R) laser processing of samples with widths greater than 110 millimeters at R2R speeds greater than or equal to 10 meters/minute. It should be noted that the R2R laser ablation capabilities established at NREL will be applied to technologies beyond lithium-ion batteries, including thin-film organic and perovskite solar cell module fabrication.
