Modular Roll-to-roll (R2R) Coating Line equipment is to enable critical scaling and manufacturing research across a wide range of thin and thick film applications for renewable energy and decarbonization. The equipment addresses critical scaling science needs for the scale-up and deployment of these and other related applications. To support these broad goals, NREL seeks R2R equipment that is flexible in configuration and ideally modular, and provides unit operations that enable a wide range of research and development activities.
