Distributed Wind Competitiveness Improvement Project
NLR plans to publicly publish a request for proposal (RFP) for a minimum of 30 calendar days to support continued innovation in distributed wind energy systems in 2026. Through a competitive process, firm fixed-price subcontracts with price participation and technical assistance will be awarded. The work covers optimized distributed wind turbine and power electronics designs, advanced manufacturing processes, certification testing to national standards, and commercialization and validation of distributed wind technology. No budget amounts or performance location are specified.
