ORNL High Flux Isotope Reactor GP-SANS Polarizer
The High Flux Isotope Reactor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is upgrading its General-Purpose Small-Angle Neutron Scattering instrument with incident beam polarization capabilities. A critical component is a polarizing cavity and magnetic housing assembly that will enable spin-resolved measurements and analysis of magnetic structures. The specification covers materials, fabrication, inspection, and delivery requirements for this assembly. The assembly will be installed at the GP-SANS instrument. No budget amount is specified.
