Building 510 Substation Upgrade - Phase I

Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)
Notice ID:MH484019

BSA seeks interested contractors for an upcoming solicitation to fully remove and upgrade the aging Building 510 (Physics Building) electrical substation equipment that feeds newly replaced distribution switchgear. The project includes removing two medium-voltage transformers, one medium-voltage oil switch, and medium-voltage distribution cabling, and installing a new exterior substation in the north-loading dock parking lot with two new medium-voltage transformers, pad-mounted switchgear, and medium-voltage feeders in a concrete-encased duct bank. Switchgear and transformers will be Government Furnished Equipment and must not be procured by the contractor. Long-lead equipment procurements are planned early, with substation infrastructure construction able to proceed in parallel, and installation will be phased to minimize service disruptions while providing for future redundant circuits. Interested contractors should submit a statement of interest and capabilities statement, including their SAM.gov UEI, to Megan Howard at mhoward@bnl.gov.
