The project... The project includes modifications to the cooling systems in the North and South LINAC buildings. These building contain power supplies and electronic racks which produce significant heat. The project consists of installation of two new air handling units and ductwork modifications in the North and South LINAC buildings. New controls will need to be provided for the new AHU’s along with associated electrical work. New units will be chilled water units. Demolition of three existing air handlers inside the building is also part of project along with unit’s chilled water piping. Controls will also include installation of temperature probes to monitor rack temperatures as well as return air temperature.
