Scope: The scope of this work includes hydrologic modeling of the Nevada National Security Site and surrounding communities to 1) to help determine impact of NNSS pumping to surrounding regions. 2) identify several well locations in Basins 278A and 278B within the NNSS that could help offset existing water use in Basins 168 and 169. 3) predict the effects of known climate change on aquifers within the NNSS. Project Background: The Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) is replacing aging infrastructure, which will require temporary increased groundwater use. Pumping increased volumes of groundwater from existing wells is anticipated. The selection of wells for increased water use raises the question as to whether there are potential future impacts on groundwater-dependent ecosystems outside the NNSS. See attached SOW and Attachments 1 and 2. Interested parties should send a email (NLT the closing date) to the POC stating their interest and providing a summary of capabilities and experience that demonstrate they can perform the services requested.
