Sources are sought for procurement, construction and installation services for a new electrical power system located at the NNSS as described in the attached Drawing # 01889-E-1202. All construction and installation will be based off a new system design. The construction will require site adaptation to the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Piping, Instrument & Controls, and Process equipment, structures/enclosures, and systems components necessary to meet functional requirements. The structures/enclosures and systems that will be included in this subcontract will include all designs and will be modified based on the Issue for Construction (IFC) drawings approved by the Contractor. The Scope of Work details are to furnish and install mechanical and electrical systems located on the surface which feed the U1a.100 underground experimentation complex through a new borehole. The surface construction subcontract will furnish and install all surface located equipment except for the power feed to the site. This equipment includes five (5) chillers (including one stand-by chiller), one (1) back-up power generator, a pre-fabricated Power Distribution Center (PDC), including Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) and power conditioning filters, all required piping, duct banks, cables, conduit and wiring terminations. Note: this is a 90% drawing and is provided for information only as representative of the anticipated construction; actual construction will be performed from final 100% Issued For Construction drawings which will be provided in any resulting RFP. Subcontractor would be responsible for all items in the drawing EXCEPT 34.5 kV Vista Switch and U1j Utility Shaft.
