Idaho National Laboratory is seeking industry partners to provide feedback and suggestions for a first-of-a-kind seismic resilience test involving a large power transformer. The project focuses on testing a retrofittable bushing decoupler system and will also examine seismic base isolation techniques. Partners may contribute funds and equipment to facilitate additional concurrent testing or test extensions. Expressions of interest must be submitted via email by the close of business on June 1, 2026. The work involves collaboration on a shake table test at the University of California San Diego facility.
