Jefferson Lab (JLab) is seeking sources to provide HZB HOM Load Waveguides. Jefferson Lab is a nuclear physics research facility operated by Jefferson Science Associates LLC (JSA) under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy. This notice is a request for information/budgetary quote and seeks qualified sources as described below. We intend to issue a formal Request for Quotation (RFQ) package by mid-November to late December 2023. Purpose: The HZB HOM Load Waveguides needed are QTY 13. See the SOW (Statement Of Work) for details. Scope: We would like the successful vendor to ship the first 2-3 complete units so that we can begin our in-house work as soon as possible. Other features: Please see Drawing # JL0043284 HOM LOAD PEG BOARD and reference JL0097111 BRAZED LOAD ASSY. for the most challenging machining features of the project. Please provide a quote for each drawing specified in the SOW. NOTE: The final assembly will be returned to vendor for final machining after Jefferson Lab completes the welding/brazing: 1. final polishing/machining of the HOM LOAD FLANGE JL0097113 2. machining of the grove on the VSR WAVEGUIDE BOTTOM JL0109826 3. Machining of the BOTTOM PLATE WELDMENT JL0044852, finished to flatness.
