High-Performance Computing for Energy Innovation Program: Collaboration for U.S. Manufacturers
The HPC4EI program seeks U.S.-based manufacturers for collaborative projects with DOE national labs, focusing on advanced materials and manufacturing challenges to boost energy sector competitiveness. Selected Phase I projects receive up to $400,000 for supercomputing access and lab staff support, requiring a 20% non-federal in-kind cost share. Follow-on Phase II projects, for teams completing Phase I, aim to transition validated applications to industrial settings with similar funding and cost-share terms, including at least half of the 20% as cash. Performance of services occurs at DOE national laboratories. This is not a procurement request.
