Through this request for proposals being issued by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) seeks proposals to support the H2@Scale vision and NREL's Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES) research goals. DOE is seeking national laboratories and qualified partners to participate in cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) projects in three topic areas: (1) H2@ARIES—Integrated Hydrogen Energy System Testing/Validation; (2) Applied Risk Assessment and Modeling for H2@Scale Applications; and (3) Next-Generation Sensor Technologies. All questions and comments should be sent to H2atScaleCRADAcall@nrel.gov no later than 5 p.m. June 21, 2021. NREL will post at least one Question & Answer (Q&A) Document (Attachment) to this posting, publicly providing responses to all questions and comments received, not later than June 28, 2021. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. July 19, 2021. Questions received after June 21 may receive a response if time permits and if the questions are unique from questions that have already been addressed in the Q&A. Responses to the new questions will be posted on SAM.gov and NREL's website periodically.
