The Advanced Light Source is a Department of Energy-funded synchrotron facility that provides users from around the world access to the brightest beams of soft x-rays, together with hard x-rays and infrared, for scientific research and technology development in a wide range of disciplines. Visit https://als.lbl.gov/ for more information. Macromolecular Crystallography beamline 2.0.1 is nicknamed “GEMINI” because it will serve two endstations in one enclosure. The primary line is operational, and the branch line is now being assembled. This solicitation is for fabrication and delivery of two nearly identical Diamond Beamsplitter / Fixed Energy Monochromator instruments, which will serve as the beamsplitter on the main line and the monochromator on the new branch line.
