The University of California, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to supply a Photo Low Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscope/Atomic Force Microscope that operates between 5 and 300 degrees Kelvin in support of the Quantum Information Science project (QIS) at The Molecular Foundry (https://foundry.lbl.gov/). The QIS seeks to visualize and understand how isolated quantum states lose their quantum behavior in 2-D material solids, which will lead to further research into quantum materials.
