The detailed requirements include: a) the DSC stage needs to be mounted vertically for transmission x-ray beam through samples; b) proper windows are required for x-ray transmission and thermal isolation; c) both reference and target samples in separate cells are required to be measured at the same time for accurate and reproducible thermal measurements.
