Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (hereinafter called “LLNS”) is seeking sources for the performance of target-manufacturing services, manufacturing and delivery of target components and subassemblies in support of the National Ignition Facility (NIF), Omega, and Z-Machine, for the High Energy Density Science (HEDS) programs, in support of NNSA. The services will require Micro-manufacturing capability including single point diamond turning. Manufacturing and assembly of parts to micron tolerances that are less than 1-2 mm in size. Will also require capability for laser machining, micro-milling parts to micron tolerances including surface roughness in the nanometer regime, materials synthesis of polymers and low-density foams, x-ray radiography, plastic and metal spherical shell fabrication, capability for variety of metal and polymer coatings, micro-assembly technology, and related metrology capable of verifying components manufactured and assembled.
