Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (hereinafter called “LLNS”) is seeking sources for the production of a high-density fluoropolymer, similar to FK-800, in support of LLNS’ requirements. The services will entail “reference attached documents”. Only contractors that have considerable expertise and experience in the following will be considered: Current or historical scale of production of relevant materials. Utilization of existing sites, infrastructure, facilities, or processing equipment to produce the material described in documents herein. Experience in emulsion polymerization, particularly in the production of fluoropolymers. Experience in the use of non-PFAS alternatives and low-risk organo-fluoro alternatives (i.e., high molecular weight organo-fluoro chemistry) in fluoropolymer production. Experience in contamination mitigation and waste management in fluoropolymer synthesis and production. Ability to provide small samples for preliminary testing, lab and pilot scale batches. Please state sample quantities/sizes anticipated your company can deliver. Experience or capability in meeting government environmental, safety, health, quality assurance, and security requirements, including relevant approvals or standards in place. Ability to delivery product that meet similar specifications as described in “3M FK-800 Resin” Product Information document. Contractors must possess the necessary contractor qualifications and must be manufactured exclusively in the United States.
