The Southwestern Power Administration, Department of Energy in Tulsa, Oklahoma is issuing this sources sought. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify company’s capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming supply requirement for High Voltage Switchyard Equipment to include: 1) Power Circuit Breakers 2) Circuit Switcher Interrupter (Brand Name Only: S&C Electric Company) 3) Disconnect Switches (Brand Name Only: Cleaveland and Price) 4) Instrument Transformers 5) Lightning Arresters 6) Control Cable 7) Transmission Line Conductor For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), or procured on a sole source basis. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the Government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses but the responses will be used to inform the Government as to the best means of procuring this requirement. “THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.” Project Background: The Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern) has a requirement for supply and delivery of high voltage switchyard equipment which includes the following items: 1) Power Circuit Breakers 2) Circuit Switcher Interrupter (Brand Name Only: S&C Electric Company) 3) Disconnect Switches (Brand Name Only: Cleaveland and Price) 4) Instrument Transformers 5) Lightning Arresters 6) Control Cable 7) Transmission Line Conductor Items will be delivered to multiple locations including: 1) Jonesboro, Arkansas 2) Springfield, Missouri 3) Gore, Oklahoma Eligibility: The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 335999 – All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 600 Employees. The product service code is 6150 – Miscellaneous Electric Power and Distribution Equipment. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond. Submission Details: Interested parties are requested to submit interest and capabilities (to provide all of the required supplies) via email. The email subject line should be “Sources Sought Response Switchyard Equipment”. The response to the sources sought may be in either Microsoft Word, Portable Document Format (PDF), or in the body of the email and shall be addressed to Brooke Butcher at brooke.butcher@swpa.gov.
