Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and other resources to complete the construction of Watertown Substation No. 2, KU1A Tertiary Circuit and Station Service Upgrade in South Dakota. The principal components of the work involve providing miscellaneous sitework, demolition, standard chain link fence, concrete foundations, cable trench, and steel structures; installing Government-Furnished equipment including power circuit breaker, switches, current-limiting reactors, shunt reactors, voltage transformers, power resistors, pad mounted transformers; and providing an automatic transfer switch, a dry-type transformer, miscellaneous electrical, conduit, and grounding. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 180 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about July 26, 2023, bid due on or about August 25, 2023, and the projected bid opening date on or about August 28, 2023.
