Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete the construction of Sioux City Substation No. 2, Transformer Replacements, Iowa. The principal components of the work involve sitework; demoliton; providing an oil detention basin; providing concrete foundations; installing Government-Furnished (GFE) equipment including a disconnecting switch, current limiting reactors,and 1/0 AWG 25-kV insulated copper cable; installing GFE steel structures; providing voltage transformers and a resistor; installing GFE control cable; associated electrical equipment and material, and existing outdoor electrical equipment and material. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All work is to be completed within 210 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about December 23, 2022, bid close January 22, 2023, and the projected bid opening date is January 23, 2023.
