Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete the construction of : Fort Randall – Sioux City 230-kV Transmission Line, Structure 103/4, Access Ramps and Tower Erosion Repair, Iowa. The principal components of the work involve miscellaneous sitework; construction of earthen embankments, and repair of eroded depressions around existing transmission line structure foundations. The repair includes clearing and grubbing woody and weedy vegetation around transmission tower, backfilling and compacting eroded depressions, providing sand and gravel bedding, providing geotextile fabric, and providing riprap. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. All work is to be completed within 90 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The NAICS Code for this project is 237130 with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 Million. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about August 4, 2021 and the projected bid opening date is September 7, 2021.
