The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) requires the removal and recycling of existing battery banks, and the installation of new battery banks at the following three locations: Folsom substation (FOL), Shasta substation (SHA) and the SPO substation (SPO) located in Folsom and Shasta Lake, CA. This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 335910- Battery Manufacturing and the applicable size standard is 1,250 employees. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract. The solicitation (Request for Quotes) will be issued electronically on or about August 6, 2024 at which time all information and attachments regarding the RFQ will be posted. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of submission of quote in order to be considered for award.
