This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supply prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are hereby being requested under this combined synopsis/solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. The assigned NAICS is 332312. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with FAR Subparts 12 and 13. It is anticipated FAR 19.505 “Limitations on subcontracting and non-manufacturer rule” will be applicable for this requirement. Requirement Details: The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR), requires light duty steel transmission poles. Pole specifications are provided in the attached items list. Delivery will be to Angels Camp, California and shall be FOB Destination. WAPA will provide unloading service. The successful bidder is responsible for the route of delivery and any associated permitting. Pole delivery must be scheduled Tuesday thru Friday 8:00am-3:30pm. Government holidays are excluded from delivery dates. Two notifications to WAPA personnel prior to delivery must be provided. First notification shall be two (2) weeks prior to delivery and the second notification shall be 48-hours prior to delivery. It is noted that this requirement is solely for the fabrication of the transmission line steel pole structures and will not include related foundation construction and installation activities. Questions regarding this solicitation must be received no later than 5pm PDT on September 16, 2022, in order to have time to respond before closing date. Email all questions to hrcooper@wapa.gov.
