This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are hereby being requested under this combined synopsis/solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. This RFQ is being issued as full and open, and the assigned NAICS is 611519. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. Requirement Details: The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) requires Battery Maintenance and Testing in-class training for Craft employees that work with Battery Systems. We require training for a group of employees in Redding, CA on Feb. 22-26, 2021, and another group in Elverta, CA on March 8-12, 2021. The objective of the training shall be for the participants/students to gain working knowledge of battery backup failures such as: excessive or micro cycling, improper charging, poor temperature control, installation errors, manufacturing deficiencies and operational/maintenance errors. Details regarding our training requirements are outlined in the attached statement of work (SOW).
