Amendment 0001: Department of Energy (DOE), Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region (DSW), issues this solicitation amendment (0001) to 89503122QWA000186 for Heavy Equipment Inspection Services at DSW in order to make minor revisions to the performance work statement (PWS) and bid sheet. Specifically, a new paragraph 2.2.5 was added to the PWS to include information regarding the torque stripe (critical fastener) visual inspection. The bid sheet was updated to indicate that equipment items #6 and #29, both Altec manlift/bucket trucks, require Department of Transportation (DoT) annual inspections. Revised versions of Attachments #1 and #3 are hereby incorporated into this solicitation. There is no change to the offer due date. The Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region, Phoenix, AZ, office has a requirement for heavy equipment inspection services throughout its region. This is a 100% small business set-aside, Request for Quotation (RFQ). The assigned NAICS is 811310 – Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance – with a size standard of $8 million. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. An Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a base year and four one-year options is contemplated. Funding will be provided at the task order level. The contract ceiling is $200,000.00 with a minimum guarantee of $10,000.00.
