This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) related to the Kofa – Dome Tap 161kV Transmission Line Project. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $36.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $2,500,000.00. Place of performance will be in Pinal County, Arizona. This project consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary for: (1) Removing existing copper conductor and reconductoring 7.5-miles of transmission line with ACSS conductor. (2) Removing two (2) existing steel overhead ground wires and installing one (1) Government-furnished optical ground wire and furnishing and installing one (1) steel overhead ground wire on 7.5-miles of transmission line. (3) Removing eight (8) transmission line wood pole structures and one (1) transmission line light-duty steel pole structures. Installing eight (8) new transmission line light-duty steel structures and one (1) new transmission line heavy-duty steel pole structure. (4) Furnishing, installing and terminating fiber optics at Kofa Substation (KOF). (5) Furnishing and installing aluminum conductor and associated fittings at Kofa Substation. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings.
