DOE’s Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center is proposing a sole-source logical follow-on task order to incumbent FPM AECOM JV1 for technical assistance at the West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) under FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C). The proposed follow-on is estimated at approximately $5M, while the current WVDP TAC task order is valued at about $9M and DOE expects over $3M in savings by refining requirements and eliminating positions. Required services include project controls, safeguards and security, quality assurance, nuclear safety, administrative support, and emergency management. The current task order period of performance runs through September 12, 2026, and the underlying Site TACs IDIQ ordering period runs through September 19, 2027. DOE considers continued performance by the incumbent the most economical and efficient approach, preserving institutional knowledge and regulatory confidence, so this is not a competitive opportunity.
