44--Laboratory 1800C Tubular Furnaces (4 Qty.)
DOE/NETL sought four brand-name-or-equal Carbolite-Gero horizontal high-temperature tube furnaces rated up to 1800 °C per attached specifications. The requirement was originally issued as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside, but no technically acceptable quotations were received from eligible small business concerns. The amendment cancels the solicitation in its entirety, withdraws the small business set-aside, rejects all quotations received, and states that no award will be made. DOE/NETL intends to resolicit the requirement on an unrestricted, full-and-open basis under a separate solicitation in the near future, inviting both large and small vendors.
