The U.S. Department of Energy is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of supplying a 1 Megawatt box furnace for NETL’s BLAZE facility to test multi-burner arrangements with advanced fuels. This furnace will support evaluations of burner modifications and flame interactions for industries like metal and glass, helping validate computational models and enable cost-effective retrofits. Responses must include a cover page with company details and business size, as well as a Statement of Capabilities detailing how the proposed equipment meets the specifications in Attachment A. Responses are due by 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on June 20, 2026, and must be submitted electronically via FedConnect or email.
