DOE-ID intends to negotiate and award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Techcomp (USA) Inc. dba Isotopx for one Isotopx DG60 Filament Degasser for RESL. The DG60 must integrate with RESL’s existing Isotopx Phoenix TIMS and use proprietary automated vacuum/thermal routines on rhenium filaments to remove U-238 interference for ultra-low-level Pu-238 isotopic measurements. Required deliverables include the degasser unit, automated temperature-ramping controller software, filament racks, on-site engineer installation and familiarization, and at least a 24-month comprehensive manufacturer warranty. Delivery is DDP to RESL in Idaho Falls, ID 83402, with shipping, customs clearance, and transit insurance included. Although the acquisition is intended as sole-source, responsible sources—especially small businesses—may submit written capability statements demonstrating physical, electronic, and software compatibility and, if resellers, OEM authorization.
